Happy Anniversary

Today is my wedding anniversary. We celebrated on Monday night and I told my hunk-a-hunk-a-burnin'-love about something I saw on Pinterest <3 and just had to have!

We went to Best Buy and came back with this:

"Okay...a printer....and?" Well, this is not just any printer. This is a PHOTO printer. Do you see the dime next to all the buttons? That's how small it is! AND I can connect through Wi-Fi and print pictures from my (smart)phone! That's literally the only place that I take pictures (unless my hunk-a-hunk-a-burnin'-love wants to get me a Wi-Fi capable camera for Christmas *hint hint.*)...

I am super excited about this. Now I can send hard copies of pictures to those who do not have computers/internet/Facebook and cannot see pictures of my kiddos or to those who just want one!

I brought the first picture I printed off to a partial family lunch with my parents, my two sisters, and my little nephew (who is SO adorable.) My sister snatched the photo up...no doubt to take it to work and pin proudly to her cubicle wall. "THESE are my nephews and my niece! Aren't they the cutest?!?"

I had the two littles with me, and stopped by my parents' house after lunch for my anniversary card that my mom forgot to bring with her to lunch (it's okay, Mom.)

While we were there, Leah decided to try on "Ging-Ging's" shoes.

So stinking cute!

My kids make me smile. Leah was especially ornery today, but since she did her dirty business in the potty I was feeling extremely generous. I did the happy dance all the way across the living room into the kitchen so I could get her three M&Ms. That's right. If you do your dirty business in the potty (especially after many, many failed attempts), you get three treats.

Mommy: *while dancing for joy across the living room* "Yay, Leah!!! GOOD girl!"
Leah: "Yay, Two candy." (previous earnings for her performance)
Mommy: "Actually, you get THREE candy! Good girl for going potty in the potty!"

I ate some candy to show my support.

*sigh* She is such a goober.

I think all my kids are. I mean check out this silly goob:

"...Excuse me...did you call me a goob?"

There are so many wonderfully sweet joys in motherhood.

I am happy to be a mother...

...I happily scrape the dried boogers off my kids' noses...

...I happily clean the pee splattered commode on a daily basis...

...I happily sit down on the couch, pinning away, during naptime...

...anything to avoid the laundry.

Speaking of laundry. I'll have you know that I folded it all AND I managed to put away the two older kids clothes. Alas, I was not home during my chore time today and neglected the rest of the laundry upon my return (repinning all about organization.)

One day, my sweet hunk, one day...See, I told you. HOPELESS homemaker.

Average mother. Sometimes my children like to see how far I can stretch (to my limits.) I had some (more) one-on-one time with Oliver today whilst driving to Cubbies at church. We reviewed the last 10 verses he has memorized (the things that boy remembers amazes me!) and continued going over and practicing Bear Hug 11 (the things that boy CAN'T remember amazes me!)

Thankfully, I was able to improve upon my reactions with him while going over Verse 11...Let's just say, I am definitely not cut out to be a teacher.

Again, I'm glad I'm the mother to my children...and I'm glad they will not know what they might be missing out on with some other mom. They love me, I love them. And hopefully I can at least teach them to be grateful for and to make the most of what you have in life.

<Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Psalm 34:11>
